Annotation
The article reveals the features of implementing the state project of reforming domestic medicine on the materials of the Chuvash ASSR. The relevance of the study is due to insufficient extent of previous investigations on this topic in the Russian historiography, as well as permanent reforming of the Russian health care system in modern times, searching for the optimal form of organizing medical aid and social security in the Russian Federation. The article examines the social processes of the frontier of 1920–1930s, which directly influenced the development of the medical sphere. The study of the problem is connected with the analysis of mass social diseases spread as catalysts of a large-scale restructuring of health care in conjunction with the processes of social-economic development of the society. The author identifies the main approaches of domestic and foreign scientists to the problem of public health preserving. Archival data on the state and development of the healthcare system of the Chuvash ASSR are introduced into scientific circulation.
