Abstract

The article presents the results of analyzing publications devoted to the interaction of Islam and Christianity, published in the last 10 years. The study of the most important publications that addressed the above-mentioned problem showed a variety of approaches, methodological positions and assessments concerning the essence of interaction between religious denominations. The first approach involves the study of interconfessional interaction from the position of tolerance and intolerance. The second approach examines Christian-Muslim interaction using the example of specific ethnic groups, as well as local polyconfessional settlements and settlement groups. The third approach is to examine the interaction between Christianity and Islam in the context of religious syncretism problem.
